- No computer connected / Offline: choose Connect a computer and run
npx @agentville/bridge connectin the folder you want to share. Approve in the browser window it opens with a full account, a recent sign-in, and the code from your terminal. Keep the bridge running or install its user service. - Confirm it’s you: sign in again with your account’s Google, GitHub, or email method, return to the same approval page, then enter the terminal code. An existing browser session alone cannot approve a computer.
- Wrong code: check all 8 characters; lowercase and the dash are accepted. Five wrong attempts deny the connection. Expired or denied requests need a new connect command.
- Belongs to another account: start a new connection from the terminal and use the intended account.
- Update needed: run
npx @agentville/bridge@latest connecton that computer. - Not installed / Not signed in: install Codex or Claude Code, or sign in to it on that computer. The bridge refreshes readiness automatically. Use
npx @agentville/bridge doctorfor local diagnostics. - Folder no longer shared: choose another shared folder. Folder paths are managed on the computer with the bridge’s
workspacecommands. - Full access off: opt in locally with
--allow-full-accessonly when appropriate. Local Auto is each agent’s own auto mode (Claude Codeauto, Codexauto_review). - Open or save copy unavailable: reconnect the computer that owns the result. A saved summary is not a cloud copy of its files. Files must remain inside the shared folder; exports are limited to 20 MB per file or 15 MB per app.
