Use Codex or Claude Code on your computer from Settings → Advanced → Agent connections. The built-in Cloud agent works without installing anything. To connect a computer, choose Connect a computer, then run this in the folder you want your agents to work in:
The bridge opens a browser approval page. Sign in with a full AgentVille account, confirm it is you if asked, and enter the 8-character code shown in your terminal. The request expires after ten minutes. No connect token is needed. Review the computer name and any replacement notice before approving. Keep the bridge running, or use npx @agentville/bridge service install to keep it available after signing in to your computer. Settings lists each computer, its connection state, Codex and Claude Code readiness, shared folder names, and full access setting. Choose a local agent, computer folder, model, and Codex effort in the composer. Local agents stay in the folder you chose. Local Auto uses each agent’s own auto mode: Claude Code auto and Codex auto_review. Full access is available only after the computer owner opts in locally with --allow-full-access; the browser cannot raise that cap. AgentVille keeps projects, conversations, approvals, and schedules in the cloud. Commands, working files, and agent credentials stay on your computer. A local result card summarizes changed files. Expand Details to see filenames. Open on my computer opens the result there; Save a copy to AgentVille explicitly uploads the entry file or app as a normal private artifact. Those actions need that computer online. Local work is not a strict on-device-only chat mode: messages and bounded progress summaries still reach AgentVille. Use Disconnect in Agent connections to revoke one computer, or npx @agentville/bridge logout there. Local recurring tasks stay bound to their computer and folder, with no Cloud fallback. Edit a recurring task to move it to another connected computer and folder running the same agent.
