# Make the world yours

> Switch the world map, change how your AI agents look, import your own characters, and pick light or dark.

Open **Settings → Experience → World**:

* **World map** switches between the Village and the Automata Foundry.
* **AI agent style** chooses how your AI agents look: Village agents or Automata.
* **Your characters** imports your own Codex pets (a `pet.json` file with a PNG or WebP sprite sheet, up to 12). They stay in this browser and do not sync to other devices.

Appearance (System, Light, or Dark) is under **Settings → Experience → Display & motion**. It changes the interface, not the world map. Interface sounds, world ambience, and voice playback are under **Sound**.
